Texas Science Park Day, September 28
AURP International Conference
Pegasus Park, Dallas ● 3000 Pegasus Park Dr. Dallas, TX
The United States is navigating an era of unprecedented uncertainty driven by rising national debt and the competitive disruptions of AI technologies and the China Shock 2.0. Effective federal policy can only address a portion of the challenge. Universities are also facing a secular decline in federal research funding along with a new world of opportunities and hazards in the new OSTP (White House Office of Science and Technology Policy) proposals.
Accelerated innovation has been a boon for certain regions around the world, but major benefits of the U.S. innovation model remain concentrated in only a few legacy tech hubs. How can Texas regions, universities and policymakers respond? What are the secrets of those regions that have successfully transformed themselves, building powerful new economic engines and tight partnerships between the “triple helix” of government, industry and academic research?
To deliver tangible solutions to these challenges, the Association of University Research Parks (AURP), the Texas Foundation for Innovative Communities (TFIC), and TAMEST have partnered to host a series of high-impact sessions specifically designed for university executives, economic development pioneers, and state and local policymakers.
Along with key members of the Texas Legislature, and globally renowned speakers from MIT, Washington think-tank ITIF, the Singapore One-North Science Park, these dedicated sessions move beyond theory to provide actionable data, proven models, and strategic blueprints to:
- Transform university research and community partnerships into self-sustaining regional economic engines
- Adapt institutional strategy to evolving federal budget realities and OSTP policy directives
- Scale high-velocity university-industry partnerships and entrepreneurial initiatives through public-private investment models
- Identify new public-private (P3/P4) strategies to unlock key capital resources and development partnerships
We cordially invite you to participate in these critical discussions and help lead Texas’ innovation and prosperity strategy.
Please join us on September 28 at Pegasus Park in Dallas, Texas. Free for TAMEST members and partners, though space is limited!
For additional exploration of the themes presented, featuring national and Texas speakers and panelists, you may also wish to consider registering for the full AURP International Conference, continuing September 29-October 1: https://aurp.org/education/international/.
